Weekend Splendor

I swear, I mean to do a post every day, but now that I have my new camera I take so many pictures it gets a little overwhelming! Today I took an extra little bit of time to split up pictures for the next two posts (Valentines Day post tomorrow, and another for the day after.)
-----------
Here was our weekend, on Saturday we went out to the park. (Even though the weather changed dramatically from earlier in the week. 70 to 40 degrees.. Brr, it warmed up later in the day though)

Taking a break from playing to eat his sandwich real quick. (Tomato sauce and cheddar on Pita Bread. The only type of sanwich he will eat.)

Cute fox sculptures!

Another sculpture with a really sweet inscription.

We also went for a vist at their Grandma~Alex. and Russ, but all the pictures from their house were blurry. booo. :(

------------

Sunday
Went over to their Grandma~mary with their bikes. We had gotten them some new knee pads & helmets, they had outgrown their old ones, and we had to take them for a ride :)

Grandmas` cat Poppet

Hug!

All of the flowers thought it was spring before the cold hit again. I hope they bloom again, the frost of the night before had killed a lot of them.

A Beautiful survivor of the cold.

---------

Anyway, I`ll be back with another post tomorrow showing the cup-cakes and valentines we made!! :)
Hope everyone had a great weekend!

<>Reading<>

Everyone loves to read in this household. Alot. This is the kids super stuffed bookshelf. (Sorry about the mess!)

We just recently started going to the library again, and today I got a some awesome books for them at $0.25 a piece! (which is what inspired me to make a book-post)

(7 kids regular kids books and a school book for homeschooling this fall.)

We read all 7 regular ones within 25 minutes of getting home. (though that Henny Penny one: it is not the revised & nice version, like I was expecting. Almost everyone gets eaten D=... )

Homeschooling. I`ve been stock piling work books and such for a while now.
The collection thus far:

I`m excited and nervous at the same time. I`m only going to be doing it for 1, maybe 2 years tops. Just until I really feel they are ready for public school. It will be great. :)

-------------

Anyway, are there any good books your kids love? Any good work books to recomend?
Let me know!

P.S. I changed the comment section, there is no need to be registered to blogpsot, or google anymore. Open to the public :)

More of an Endeavor than a Project.

THIS
I`ve been working on this endeavor for a while, or atleast planning it. Many things have come up lately where I either haven`t been able to, or I just didn`t want to work on them.
Eventually (when I finish these) I will try to sell them on Etsy. Right now, since they are a work in progress, I`m keeping mum about what they will be, but I hoped sharing snippets would motivate me.

The "bodies"

I have about 21 more of the body swatches to do before I`m done with the first batch of bodies. (each a different color, 3 of each color) Then there comes the decoration. Phew.

My many colors of yarn.

And my beloved crochet needles
I`ve had the big red one for almost 10 years, it`s scratched and slightly bent, but it`s my favorite.
I actually have more, but I always tend to lose my newer ones.

Two days in pictures

This picture and the one below is from Thursday night. I made dinner for Micah`s mama (It was soo yummy!) And we hung out for a while and had lots of fun. The kitties seem to be getting along better! yay :)

Friday:
Friday kind of snuck up on me, I litterally though it was Thursday for half the day. DER.
I took the kids to the duck pond in the morning and then later to the playground. :)

The ducks were crazy! They were like zombies, but instead of looking for brains, they were all: "GRAAAAIIINS" lol.

Later on I went out for some much, much needed time for me. (Joey is in that stage where he hates to leave me, I practically havent left the house alone in months.)
So I went for some thrifting therapy with my mom and little brother:
Some of my bounty

After wards, I was able to take my little brother, Alex home to spend the night! It was a lot of fun, we stayed up preeeetty later :P

He played with out snakes, and we realized Maggie had shed again! She sheds all the time.

And here some pictures of everyone hanging out

The next morning we went out for breakfast and then we dropped Alex off.

It was fun and I can`t wait to do it again :)

Cats=Love

A mini-memorial to our lovely,
Esteban.

---------------------------------------------------

We lost him this past week, it has been rough....We ended up adopting 2 more cats from the spca. We will love him forever, of course, but there are so many cats out there that didn`t and might never know the love we have for our cats.

This is Charlie, she is the mom of Bender and Esteban. (age 4 1/2)

Caught her mid-yawn.

This is Bender (age 2)

And these are our newly adopted kittens. We kept their names.

Bella-Anne  (age 10  months)

Goober (5 months)

Well, this is a short post, it was a very hard one for me to do. I`ve been meaning to make it for a few days, but haven`t gotten myself to do it. I realize I could have just not posted about it, but it`s a big part of our lives.

I love and will always miss Esteban.. And I also love our old kitties and our new ones...
Love and take care of your animals, you never know.
